ANTHONY IVERACH
"I strive to design furniture that engages with the user giving them flexibility of use".
Anthony Iverach worked as a steel trader for 12 years supplying steel for oil & gas projects throughout Australia and Asia. Inspired to study furniture design later in life, he enrolled at TAFE Lidcombe and completed the Diploma of Furniture Design in 2007.
The Poly Table came to life after experimenting with shapes and 3D models. Poly is series of three tables inspired by the shape of an irregular polygon. The base, whilst having different and varying angles flows as one seamless shape.
Poly can be used singularly or in a series of three creating a unique and exciting dynamic.
Whilst exhibiting at The Edge 2008, Anthony was introduced to Woodmark who were drawn to the unique shape and different configurations.
"Working with Woodmark has been a fantastic experience and allowed me to cross that long divide between prototype and bringing a design to market".
Anthony has setup a workshop in the Blue Mountains to develop new furniture designs with a focus on multi-functional use and small space living.
